Why can't Miladunnabi be observed on Eid?

All praise is due to Allah. Blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). I begin in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Merciful.

Well, suppose, in the exam you were asked to write an essay on rice. Rice is a very common thing in your eyes. If instead of rice, you write an essay on rice flowers using literary language in a very beautiful way, then will you be given any marks in that essay? Or will it be given zero?

Islam is a complete way of life. What is to be done is clearly stated here. What is forbidden is also clearly stated. Even so, if someone does something forbidden in the name of Islam, then can he expect any merit from Allah?

The Muslims of the subcontinent, including our country, often celebrate the 12th of Rabiul Awal as the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). But the Prophet (ﷺ) did not know about this 'Eid' (!) None of the Companions, Tabi'i, Tabe-Tabii, knew about Eid'(!).

So where did this 'Eid' come from?

The great mujahid Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi (R) (532-589 AH) who was victorious against the Crusaders appointed Abu Saeed Muzaffaruddin Kukuburi (586-630 AH) as the governor of the 'Erbal' region of Iraq. First of all Muzaffaruddin Kukuburi introduced Milad in 604 Hijri [according to some historians in 625 Hijri]. The time was 593 or 614 years after the death of the Prophet (ﷺ).

[Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah (Darul Fikr, 1986) p. 13/137.]

Earlier on this day they only commemorated the birth and life story of the Prophet (ﷺ) and arranged for people to eat. It is noteworthy that in those earlier Milads, like today, standing up and saying 'Ya Nabi Salamu Alayka', imagining the coming of the Prophet's soul, was nothing like the 'Milad Mahfil' of the Jilapi distribution type. The small bid'at gradually grew into a huge form, turning into "Eid". It was gradually joined by various Shirkic beliefs by the heretical Sufis—that the Holy Prophet's (ﷺ) soul appeared during the Milad festival [this belief is borrowed from the Christian Bible; See: Bible, Matthew 18:20; The Christians imposed such a lie on their Prophet.] Nauzubillah. There are two types of Milad in this country. One with qiyam (standing), the other without qiyam. The argument of the worshipers is that they stand up in 'honour' of the Prophet. If by this they mean that the blessed soul of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) is present at the celebration of Milad, then this notion is unanimously Kufr.

Celebrating Miladunnabi on Eid is a clear innovation.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,

"If a person creates something in this religion of ours that does not belong to it, then it is rejected."

[Bukhari and Muslim, Riyadus Salihin, Book 1, Hadith 169, Chapter Prohibiting Innovation in the Religion]

He also said,

'Beware of innovating in the religion. Indeed, every new creation is innovation and every innovation is misguidance.

[Abu Dawud 4607; Mishkat 165, Sahih] on the authority of Jabir (RA), in another narration,

'And the end of every misguidance is hell'.

[Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i 1579; Two Eid Sermons' Chapter]

Imam Malik (RA) told his student Imam Shafi'i (RA), that which was not accepted as 'Deen' during the time of Rasoolullah (ﷺ) and his Companions, will be accepted as 'Deen' in the present time. no A person who introduces a new practice in Islam in the name of religion, then judges it as a good deed or 'bid'at hasanah', has assumed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has betrayed his mission'.

[Al Insaf, page 32]

There is consensus among the four schools of thought regarding milad being bid'ah. The book 'Al-Qawlul Mu'tamad' states that the best scholars of the four schools of thought have unanimously agreed that the customary Milad ceremony is a bid'ah. Mujaddid Afe Sani Ahmad Sarhindi (r), Allama Hayat Sindhi (r), Rashid Ahmad Ganguhi (r), Ashraf Ali Thanvi (r), Mahmudul Hasan Deobandi (r), Ahmad Ali Saharanpuri (r) are among the Ulama of the subcontinent. Apart from this, the Ahl al-Hadith scholars all in one sentence called the traditional Milad ceremony as an act of innovation and sin.

Many people think that 12th Rabiul Awal is actually the birthday of the Prophet (ﷺ). The strongest opinion in this regard is - Rasulullah (ﷺ)'s birthday is 8th Rabiul Awal on Monday. The likeness of 9th Rabiul is also famous. 12th Rabiul Awal's opinion is extremely weak. 8 and 9 Rabiul Awal's views are also not proved beyond doubt. But it is proven that 12 Rabiul Awal is the death day of Rasool (ﷺ). But on 12th Rabiul Awal Rasool (ﷺ) his birth anniversary or 'Miladunnabi' is being celebrated.

Milad celebrants say that even if Milad is bid'at, it is "bid'at hasanah". Therefore, if you do something that is permissible, there is a reward. Because through this, some statements can be heard. The answer is that if the place of prayer is a cemetery, despite having a clean body, clothes, and clear intentions while performing Salat (prayer), the prayer is not acceptable. Because the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) forbade praying in such a place. There will be no benefit in offering that prayer in defiance of the clear prohibition of the Prophet (ﷺ). Likewise, it is impossible to dream of achieving good by doing heretical ceremonies. Just as a small amount of cow dung in a pitcher full of milk makes it undrinkable, so a little shirk-bid'at in the midst of good deeds spoils all good deeds.

It is said in the book of Hanafi Madhhab, Fatawa Bazariya, "Whoever thinks that the souls of the dead are present, he is a disbeliever".

[Milad Muhammadi pp. 25, 29]

Similarly in the book 'Tuhfatul Quzaat' it is said, "Those who think that the blessed soul of Rasulullah (ﷺ) is present in the Majlis of Milad, this idea is clear shirk". Rasulullah (ﷺ) issued a stern warning against standing up for his honor during his lifetime.

[Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud; Mishkat 4699 'Adaab' Chapter]

But does the strange argument of standing in honor of his imaginary soul after death hold up?

"Whoever narrates a false hadith in my name willfully, let him build his home in hell".

[Sahih Bukhari 110]

"Do not exaggerate about me, as the Christians exaggerated about Jesus (pbuh)... Rather say that I am the slave of Allah and His Messenger."

[Sahih Bukhari 3445]

Lies of the brothers celebrating Milad And the body shuddered when he saw the audacity of narrating fake hadith. It is surprising to think that all these people, either knowingly or hearing from others, are continuing all baseless myths in the name of preaching in Milad Majlis. They lied that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was made of light. The creed of 'Noor Muhammadi' is basically some Firka of Ahl Kitab Christians [Jehovah's Witness Christians consider Jesus (as) an angel] and the monistic and pantheistic creed of Hindus. In whose eyes there is no difference between creator and creation. They see no difference between 'Ahad' and 'Ahmad' except the veil of 'Meem' [Nauzubillah]. The living face of Rasool (ﷺ) can be seen directly in the murid of the so-called Ma'refati Pirs or in the Majlis of the Milads. The Majlis of Milad are the perfect opportunity to propagate these Kufr philosophy and beliefs. At present, newspapers, radio, TV are also running with its winner.

May Allah protect us from this - Amen!
